My Crazy Cast, episode 2 is with my long time friend, Karen Kingsbury. No. 1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Karen Kingsbury is America’s favorite inspirational novelist. There are nearly 20 million copies of her award-winning books in print, including several million copies sold in the past year. Karen has written more than 50 novels, ten of which have hit #1 on national lists. Several of Karen’s books are in production as theatrical and Hallmark original movies.
I was really nervous (like speechless nervous) interviewing one of my all-time favorite authors, but Karen quickly eased my mind with her incredible warmth and inviting spirit! You don’t want to miss out on a single minute as Karen passionately opened up about their family’s adoption journey, her love of writing “life-changing” fiction, and the incredible vision behind her One Chance Foundation. Plus, she shares the miracle behind her encounter with rock star, Rod Stewart. Karen’s a gifted storyteller.
Karen lives in Nashville with her husband and five sons, three of whom were adopted from Haiti. They live nearby to their actress/designer daughter, Kelsey who is married to Christian recording artist, Kyle Kupecky.
In addition, Karen is a visiting professor at Liberty University, where she teaches master classes on storytelling. She and her daughter, Kelsey also have a card and gift line called “Possibilities” which is sold at retail stores everywhere.
