Foster care scared me to death! My first reaction was, “no, there is no way I can do that. I can’t love a child like my own and then say good-bye, I’d get way too attached.” Well, now three years and twenty-three children later God has shown me over and over that what He calls you to, He equips you for. “I” can’t do any of this, but He can do miraculous things when we say yes to His call. I am a Christ follower, wife, daughter, sister, non profit founder, blogger, orphan awareness advocate, business owner, speaker and mom. My greatest role has been the opportunity to walk this path to motherhood. I want to encourage other adoption families to never give up! We are Mike and Lori Pierce and have 3 children, two homegrown boys and once spicy girl from India. Our story is not anything out of the ordinary, but it is our story. Back in 2010, I lost my job. It was a good part of our family income. At the same time God placed some very good friends in our lives who just happened to have 3 beautiful children from China.
